Summer has been pretty chill. It feels like it’s been summer forever. Haha. I can’t believe it school ended a couple weeks ago. Weird.
So for those of you who didn’t attend the summer camping trip/retreat, it was really fun. And I feel bad for saying it, but I really liked only having a small group of people with me the whole weekend. I feel like I got to know them a little better, although there wasn’t any real “deep conversation time,” we had a lot of hang out time. Actually, it was all eating and playing. :] I have a nice shoulder tan and kind of face tan. It’s kind of weird though because my neck and chest are pale compared to my shoulders and face. Sad.
So during the weekdays I go to Hillsboro parks and rec and workout. It guess it’s pretty nice. There are a lot of old people who know each other though. It’s kind of awkward. I really want to swim in the pool, but it’s uncomfortable when there are a whole bunch of lifeguards who are the same age as you and there are big old people water aerobics classes going on. Sooooo yeah. Probably not gonna swim in that pool all summer.
Pop and water sales are ending for our Key Club next Tuesday… so I guess I’ll actually be able to hang out at the Tuesday market for once. I’ll probably feel awkward. Haha. And it’s kind of sad now, cause the cute guy who worked at a booth in front of ours moved down the street :[[[ but he buys soda more often now, so that’s good :]
Thursdays I’m volunteering at the Boys and Girls club. These ladies made up this program… and I’m not too thrilled about it. It’s only for girls, which I don’t understand, because you’re just teaching them math through reading a book and activities. The ladies who are in charge of this program really have no idea what to do with themselves. They’re all retired and only have experience with high schoolers. They’re really not in a good position to be teaching this. They make things so complicated. =.= I really hope some other people start volunteering, so I don’t have to go. I don’t work well with old people who don’t know what they’re doing.
When fireworks are used on days other than Independence Day, it annoys me.
It’s rude asking for SAT scores. Especially when you’re not close with the person. Don’t ask me cause I won’t tell you. Shut up.
July 11th, I’m going to Leadership camp at Western University. I’m really excited. People always talk about how it’s the best part of their summer. Idk if it’ll be that exciting. But I’ll post if it is the best part of my summer. I’ll be gone till the 16th. Then on the 18th, I’ll be in Seattle getting my wisdom teeth pulled. Super excited. I cried thinking about it yesterday. It’s gonna hurt so much and it’s gonna be so scary. Idk what I’m gonna do with myself. D: and it sucks that I’m going to seattle and I’m not gonna do anything fun. I’m not gonna eat good food, I’m not gonna go anywhere exciting, I’m going to be in pain.
June is coming back in August. Don’t ask me when my brother is coming back anymore. Really. You should ask him yourself. and I swear I’ve told everyone more than twice.
So I’m enjoying my summer. Everything is going smoothly. It’s nice not having to worry about anything. Yay Xanga!

today i watched a thoracic surgery. i got up at 4:30am went to school at 5:15 went to the hospital at 7 and i saw one of the most amazing things of my entire life. i saw the lungs with cancer. that was really sad. and imagining how the family members of that person. i saw the heart. and it's so different watching the heart from a video and seeing one beating and knowing it's all happening right then and there. I saw the rib cage. i saw the esophagus. it was amazing. but stitching is disgusting. i'll probably remember this day for the rest of my life.
i took a two hour nap when i got home and i didn't realize that i fell asleep. hah.
